WAR - The Second of the Four Sisters of the Apocalypse
This series is my attempt to try and bring the Christian concept of the Four Horsemen into a different and more universal light. The four forces written about can have more universal meaning then I think some give credit for, as each of the symbols do, in the end, lead to the same thing.
For WAR, the second Sister, I wanted to try and make it different than what I would otherwise do or see for it. The idea was to make War look sexy and alluring, all the while you can see just how blatantly evil it can be.
On her helmet is the Seal of Mars and on her right shoulder plate is the symbol for the Intelligence of Mars, both from Ceremonial Magic. On her left arm is the Alchemist symbol for Summer, and on the piece of armor over her breasts is the symbol for the Spirit of Mars.
On her chest is the Descending Node from Astronomy.
On her sword hilt is the symbol for Fire from Witchcraft.
